The core value of collaboration is in creating greater value by maximizing the strength of the subjects through joint ventures, and architecture is also committed to this trend. UAUS's sixth exhibition, "ARCHI-CULTURE: Culture in architecture", aims to display a space with richer experiences through the collaboration of architecture and various cultural contents. Architecture itself is also a huge culture, serving as a container to capture the diverse cultures that people create. Based on this understanding of architecture's fundamental role, this exhibition is the result of the fierce questioning of architecture students of how they can deliver various cultures through architecture. Each exhibition team selected various cultural contents including art, music, game and social network service (SNS), reinterpreted it, and completed it as space. 'Banpo Han River Park' has been selected as the site to showcase each team's collaborative work. The Han River Park is a representative landmark of Seoul, an open and familiar place for everyone, and a place for the public to use freely. We believe that this exhibition will be meaningful in combining the pavilions with cultural reinterpretation, and the colorful stories of the people at Han River Park. We hope that visitors will experience a new place of festival where architecture and other cultures meet like various small streams that meet to create a river.
오늘날 패션, 과학, 음악, 산업 등 다양한 분야에서 ‘Collaboration’이 이루어지고 있습니다. Collaboration의 핵심은 합작을 통해 대상이 가지는 강점을 최대한 발휘시켜 더 큰 가치를 창출하는 것에 있으며, 건축 또한 이러한 흐름에 몸을 맡기고 있습니다. UAUS의 여섯번째 전시, <ARCHICULTURE : 건축 문화를 담다>는 건축과 다채로운 문화 콘텐츠와의 collaboration을 통해 더욱 풍성한 경험의 공간을 담고자 하였습니다. 건축 또한 하나의 거대한 문화로서 사람들의 삶이 만들어내는 다양한 문화를 담아내는 그릇의 역할을 합니다. 본 전시는 이러한 건축의 근본적인 역할을 바탕으로 건축학과 대학생들이 ‘어떻게 하면 건축을 통해 다양한 문화를 담아낼 수 있을까’에 대한 치열한 고민의 결과물이라 할 수 있습니다. 각 전시팀들은 예술, 음악, 놀이, 소셜 네트워크 서비스(SNS) 등의 다양한 문화 콘텐츠를 선택하여 이를 새롭게 재해석하고 공간으로 완성하였습니다. 이러한 문화 콘텐츠와의 collaboration을 이룬 작품들을 선보일 장소로는 ‘반포 한강 공원’을 선정하였습니다. 한강 공원은 서울의 대표적인 얼굴이자, 열린 공간으로 누구에게나 친근한 장소이며, 모든 시민이 자유롭게 이용할 수 있는 공간입니다. 전시팀들의 문화적 재해석이 담긴 파빌리온과 한강공원에 담긴 여러분의 다채로운 이야기가 어우러져 더욱 아름다운 의미를 지닌 전시가 될 것으로 기대됩니다. 여러 지류가 만나 강을 이루듯, 문화의 한 줄기인 건축과 다른 문화들이 만나 이루어낸 새로운 축제의 장을 경험하실 수 있기를 희망합니다.
